[1764] MSI K8N nForce4 mainboard reboot problem, system hangs in POST.

Na uitbundig testen hebben we een probleem ontdekt in de K8N moederborden van MSI. Het probleem bij dit type moederbord ontstaat bij een reboot (herstart) vanuit het OS, in ons geval Windows XP. Er is contact geweest met MSI in Taiwan en ze erkennen het probleem. 'Het komt in sommige omstandigheden voor', aldus MSI. Er wordt aan gewerkt, ik verwacht dat dit een BIOS update zal zijn. Tot aan die tijd stappen wij over op ASUS.

After some serious testing we found out that MSI K8N mainboards have serious problems after a reboot. The system will hang in POST (BIOS initialization process) after a reboot from Windows. We spoke to MSI in Taiwan and they know about the problem. 'It occurs in some curcomstances', they confirmed. MSI is working on a solution, maybe a BIOS update will fix the problem in the near future. Till then, we switch to ASUS nForce mainboards.
